We Talk About Hope While You're Hurting with Melinda Means
Melinda Means is an author, speaker, and mom blogger, as well as women’s ministry director at her church. She has been a freelance writer since her daughter was an infant, writing primarily for healthcare publications until several years ago, when her writing focus took a maternal turn. Her children were simply providing too much humbling and hilarious material to let it go to waste. Her work has appeared in Focus on the Family publications, CBN.com, In Touchmagazine, and Lifeway’s Journey magazine.
Melinda stops by to talk about her new book Invisible Wounds: Hope While You're Hurting. She shares transparently about her journey with pain, how she came to accept her reality and lean on God through it all. Whether you are dealing with physical pain, or emotional pain; there is encouragement for you in this episode.
Tips For Your Journey
- Get in the word everyday. Take off your masks with God. He desires an authentic relationship with you and he is ready to give you comfort.
- Find a person to share your struggle with. Look for the "me too" people in your life and pray God puts the right people in your path.
- Realize you don't have to figure it all out. You just have to take the next step and lean on his power. It's our job to be obedient and it's his job to do the rest.
