Know Your Why - Having a deep reason why you want to get healthy that motivates you when things get tough is key. Just looking good is not enough to keep your focus. Think about what will change when you hit your goal and what impact it would have on your life. Pick a goal that matters on a meaningful level.
Know Your personality -Are you someone that is ok with making drastic changes or do you need to take small steps in a healthier direction? It's important to give yourself grace with whichever category you fall in. There is no right or wrong, but once you recognize what is best for your personality you will be better equipped to develop a plan to bring you success.
Know Your limits -Decide what is realistic for you. Are you actually able to get up super early and workout? Do you have a lot of time to devote to meal prep? Recognizing the obstacles that get in your way are super important. Beware of setting expectations that you can't live up to.
Get a Plan -What do you want to try? What do you love? -How much time can you devote to this...make your plan based on your time commitment. Really want results? You need to get accountability. Hire a trainer, get an accountability partner, hire a coach. If you find that you give up too easy on your goals, this could be the key to success.
